RANCHO CASCADES
This Rancho Cascades retreat captures the essence of Spanish landscape design—timeless, grounded, and designed to evolve with the seasons. Originally, the yard lacked cohesion and usable space. We transformed it through thoughtful grading, refined materials, and layered plantings to give it rhythm and purpose. Our goal was to craft a warm, rooted space—where every path, wall, and hedge serves an intentional role. Now, the yard flows seamlessly from the home, offering room to unwind, host, and enjoy the outdoors throughout the year.
SPANISH LANDSCAPE DESIGN VISION
Inspired by classic Spanish-style landscapes, this design suits modern Los Angeles living perfectly. We drew from Mediterranean principles—favoring structure, earthy tones, and low-maintenance greenery. Arched features, ficus hedges, mature trees, and paver surfaces combine to create a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Each element, from plants to plaster, ages gracefully and supports the overall vision. This landscape balances elegance with practical design, inviting you to enjoy outdoor living in every season.
LANDSCAPE FEATURES & LAYOUT
We completely reimagined the layout for better flow and function. The leveled lawn offers space for everyday use and gatherings. Overgrown shrubs gave way to clean-lined hedging, adding softness and privacy. A custom fire pit and outdoor kitchen now anchor the yard, framed by natural stone and hand-finished plaster. Carefully placed lighting highlights textures and forms throughout the space. Each transition—from grass to gravel, stone to step—flows naturally. This garden supports daily life, enhances the home, and remains beautifully rooted.
